The Lytle United Methodist Church is firmly grounded in the Wesleyan tradition expressed by John Wesley, a tradition that combines conservative evangelical teachings with a strong call to Christian service and action.
The teaching of our church is based squarely on the Bible and the great historic creeds of the church, including the Apostle's Creed. We believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and that we are saved wholly and completely by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We also believe that once we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, Jesus calls us on a journey toward wholeness and holiness - a journey, empowered by the Holy Spirit, that leads to inner changes and outward action.
